Considerable speculation today about where this photo was taken and what “second bridge” referred to (as written on the back of the photo). One possibility was that it was Wright’s River because it was too shallow for West River or Brierly Brook. Another thought it referred to the bridge that was built over the West River close to the location of the present bridge over West River at the intersection to St. Andrews Street and the Prissy Pig. Where then was the first bridge?
